Nashoba Tech students earned one gold medal, one silver medal, three bronze medals and seven honorable mentions. This is the first year that Nashoba Tech students took the exams. They are taught by Spanish teacher Stacy Stevens.
“Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, national director of the exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States, with over 157,000 students participating in 2015.”
Adriana Lopez-Laguer (freshman, Chelmsford) earned a gold medal, and Yessenia Gamez (freshman, Ayer) scored well enough for silver.
Bronze medals went to Brendan Cerone (freshman, Pepperell), Nicholas Cerone (freshman, Pepperell) and Kaitlyn Fales (freshman, Townsend).
