Here are some highlights from Westford’s expected local government meetings for the week of Aug. 10 to 14, 2015.

Monday
Board of Health (7 p.m. – Westford Town Hall) – Expected topics include a discussion on the use of pesticide in the area, public reaction to fluoride in the public water supply and considering signing onto a petition banning tobacco products at ballfields in Boston.
Westford Energy Committee (7:30 p.m. – Mary Atwood Meeting Room, J.V. Fletcher Library) – The Energy Committee will discuss the recent Green Communities initiative as well as reviewing past, present and future energy related issues.
Tuesday
Board of Selectmen (7:30 p.m. – Westford Town Hall) – A short meeting is expected, the main topic of discussion will likely be an update on compliance regarding the Agricultural Preservation Restriction at the former Drew Gardens property on Boston Road.
Wednesday
J.V. Fletcher Library Trustees/Permanent Town Building Committee Joint Library Needs Committee (7 p.m. – J.V. Fletcher Library Staff Lounge) – Several presentations from architects will be given, with the selection of design finalists to be voted upon.
Conservation Commission (7:30 p.m. – Westford Town Hall) – The Conservation Commission will hold public hearings on seven topics, discuss land intrusions on the Greystone Conservation land, an alleged wetlands violation at Cornerstone Square, and talk about the use of alcohol at the East Boston Camps along with other discussion on other issues.
