The public is invited to attend the Grand Reopening Celebration of the Roudenbush Community Center on Saturday, March 9, from 2 to 9 p.m. when tours of the renovated spaces will be offered.
The town-owned historic building underwent a $7 million renovation that was just completed in December. The town has a long-term rental contract with Roudenbush Community Center, Inc., which occupies the first two floors of the building. TRCCI temporarily relocated while the renovations were ongoing.
“As we reflect back over four decades of history, we see The Roudenbush Community Center, Inc. (TRCCI) becoming resilient to changes, while sustaining our mission of offering opportunities through learning, childcare, special events and the arts” said Michelle Sullivan, executive director, when asked about the recent move back to 65 Main Street.
Several instructors will be on-hand to share upcoming program information. In addition, there will be class demonstrations and a family magic show. Residents Ellen Harde and Patti Mason are teaming up to create a Scavenger Hunt that will take participants back in time. Adults can toast to the reopening at an evening reception hosted by the Board of Directors.
The reopening represents a new beginning for TRCCI. Stephanie Lanzillo, Director of Community Education added “we are working diligently to restructure our community education programs so that we can continue to bring exciting learning opportunities and free events to the community.”
For more information regarding the event, residents can call Avery Adam, Marketing Coordinator, at 978.496.1707 or visit roudenbush.org.
